Gimmick/Biography: Chelsea was the youngest of three siblings, her older brothers Ronald and Justin, and all three of them children of Brian and Angela Pryce. Growing up on the poverty streets of Detroit was no easy task, but the family managed it. Chelsea also struggled in school, especially in academics. The only thing she really specialized in was physical education. All her life sports were her greatest passions. Not a child of materialistic items, she enjoyed comfort in her loving family, her two only friends and the simpler things in life.
After Ron went out to serve in the marines and Justin was in college to become a lawyer, Chelsea and her parents eventually moved out of Detroit and into Philadelphia when she was a freshman in high school. At age sixteen, she met a young man in business class named Jack Darling. Although he carried the reputation of a womanizer, he started to spend less time with other girls and more time with her. They even kissed on their first date. They were the couple that just about everyone knew in school, voted prom king and queen. However, Chelsea’s father disapproved of Jack and warned her not to grow close to him. She didn’t listen, sneaking out one night to meet him in their school’s courtyard. Before they knew it, they ended up in the back of his car… she was shocked to discover that she was pregnant a few weeks later. Even with protection, it wasn’t enough. She thought he would be understanding and supportive, but when she told him, he betrayed and abandoned her. Her heart was torn… and the pain grew worse when her parents found out. Her father was livid, forcing her to pay rent for her room. While she worked part time and attended high school, she gave birth to a baby girl she named Rosalyn. After graduation, her father kicked them out of the house, her mother doing nothing about the situation. It was then Chelsea vowed to become a better person than Jack and her parents.
Life was stressful, but even as a single parent she refused to give up. With her daughter as her ongoing support, they pushed through the toughest obstacles. Twelve years later, Chelsea was convinced by Rosalyn to pursue a career in a sport of her choice. She chose wrestling and joined Epic Wrestling Organization in early September 2008. Her first major impact in the company was defeating Nick Toretto and becoming the new eWo Commonwealth Champion in October. She would become the holder of the longest-reigning eWo Commonwealth Champion, consisting of forty-three days. However, in the midst of October, she would encounter her old flame, Jack Darling, the father of her daughter. This triggered a fierce and cold persona deep within her, the two of them engaging in a war that he honestly wanted no part of. But even in the midst of chaos, Rosalyn, who had never known her father until now, bonded with him and gave him love that only she could give. Chelsea grew angry about this, further fueling the hatred she had for Jack. They would come to battle at No Return in November 2008, ending in disqualification against Chelsea for delivering a low blow to Jack’s crown jewels.
Unfortunately, she was unable to pursue him when she was falsely accused of attacking Toretto, becoming the target of a furious Eden Turner. The two of them eventually battled it out to contendership for the eWo championship held by Eryk Adams at Zero Hour in January 2009. The victory was not meant to be for Chelsea as Adams retained, and since then she began to emotionally deteriorate. Sometime in February, a mysterious figure—later turning out to be Bobby Dynamite of Sedition Rising—abducted Chelsea from her locker room. Rosalyn was left in Jack’s care while she was missing. After Jack was victorious in his match against Grayson Scott at The Crowning in March, Bobby and the same mysterious figure who encountered Rosalyn in the ring earlier in the night ambushed him. The figure retrieved a barbed wire steel chair from under the ring and threatened to strike Jack with it. However, Rosalyn dashed down the ramp and threw her body across her father’s, trying desperately to protect him. Bobby’s warnings were deaf to her and the figure swung down to hit the young girl—only Jack rolled over and took the blows instead. The figure and Bobby retreated after the Street Angels arrived on the scene, leaving Jack a bloody mess over his daughter, but the figure didn’t disappear yet. Instead, the figured pulled back the hood concealing their face—Chelsea’s face. It was a horrifying shock to everyone, especially Rosalyn. She became known as Mother Superior, the newest member of Sedition Rising. Yet this was short-lived when the entire faction was fired by the new owner of eWo, Lyea Williams.
Chelsea found herself struggling with Mother Nature and Mother Superior. Her family, especially Justin, no longer trusted her and any friends she had before left her. She drifted to a couple other wrestling companies without success. She was no longer in real control of herself. She wanted Rosalyn back, but she also wanted to keep her away in fear of hurting her. Jack would not allow Rosalyn to be with anyone except himself and his family. That is, until she was kidnapped by Scott Free’s henchmen right out of her grandparents’ house. This dramatic experience caused Chelsea to regain control of herself, confiding her furious sadness in Jack with tears upon his suit jacket. Free was power hungry and insane, using Rosalyn’s captivity to his advantage against Jack in a Highway to Hell match. Fortunately, before Free could accomplish his plan to humiliate Jack and regain his eWo World championship, the newest owner of eWo stepped out—with Rosalyn safely by his side. Jack was able to unleash hell on Free and the battle waged on. In the end, Jack struck Free hard, the eWo World Champion falling through the openings of the three cages, hitting his head and neck on the way down. Jack became the new eWo World Champion while Free was sent to the nearest hospital. The former world champion was pronounced dead. Controversy swung forth, some people calling Jack a murderer while others protested it to be an uncontrollable accident.
With Rosalyn safely returned to Jack, it was a matter of deciding whether or not Chelsea could take her back. Chelsea admitted that what she had done was wrong and it would be a long time before she could grasp redemption. Here, Jack also confessed that in their youth, abandoning her in her time of need was an act of cowardice. In the end, Jack allowed Rosalyn to return to Chelsea under the conditions that he and his family could see her and have her as their company from time to time, and for the sake of their daughter mutually respect one another. Chelsea agreed, sharing a one-sided, one-armed hug with him as appreciation for taking care of Rosalyn. Sometime after eWo closed, they both met again in Absolute Pro and even faced off in a six-person tag team match that announced Chelsea’s team as the winner. It was to be expected as Jack betrayed his teammates, one of them being Jake Norton. During her adventure in AbsoPro, she met a firefighter named Jonathon Leyton, a member of the FDNY, and the two of them actually had a bit of chemistry together. But before any real progress could happen, the company closed sometime in mid-late 2009 and everyone was scattered. She did, however, keep in contact with a few people, especially Jonathon.
Chelsea was first sighted in Sin Wrestling as a member of the audience in Detroit’s show. Officially recognized by Teresa Quaranta a week later in Green Bay, Mother Nature (and Mother Superior, as she’s still struggling with both sides) is making her return to the ring. What does Sin have in store for her? What does she have in store for Sin?
